Livno Upper-town Defences
Livno municipality describes a new circuit of towers around the old town during the seventeenth-century conflicts between the Ottoman and Venetian states. Veis-kula is the largest and best-preserved of the named towers. Its inner diameter is only 3.5 metres despite walls reaching 3.8 metres thick. The surviving shell has lost its parapet. This entry represents the upper-town defences through Veis tower; other named towers are not counted as separate castles or reconstructed without a plan. The popular name Vujadin tower is a later traditional name.
