Trebinje Walled Old Town
Trebinje tourist organisation dates the construction begun under Osman-paša Resulbegović to 1714. A canal connected to the Trebišnjica followed in 1715. Walls, gates and towers developed during the first decades of the eighteenth century, alongside mosques and a clock tower. This is a living old town, not a solitary hilltop castle. The historic canal was filled in 1932, so the scene does not invent a modern water moat. Surviving defensive fabric and mapped urban footprints form the model; ordinary roof heights and facades are approximate.
