White Fortress
Bijela tabija dominates the eastern entrance to the Sarajevo basin. Sarajevo's tourism publication identifies its elevated position and broad view over the city. It forms part of the Vratnik defensive landscape, with walls altered through successive periods. The exact origins of the earliest fabric remain debated; an atlas reconstruction should distinguish archaeological evidence from conjectured medieval towers.
