Kotor Fortress
Kotor's fortress stands above the Vrbanja at Kotor Varoš. A University of Banja Luka landscape study identifies the remains, popularly associated with Hrvoje Vukčić, and their relationship to the settlement below. These ruins are distinct from the much larger coastal fortifications of Kotor in Montenegro. Their historical, visual and archaeological value requires preservation and a site-specific reconstruction.

Upper tower-remnant study
Kotor's ruins overlook the Vrbanja at Kotor Varoš. A small roofless strongpoint indicates the upper part of the site; its shape and height are estimated pending a measured conservation plan.
Lower masonry traces
The broad mapped castle grounds are not treated as a continuous high curtain. Scattered low wall traces leave the archaeological uncertainty visible.
Grounds above the Vrbanja
The model preserves a broad open site relationship rather than a complete imagined town. This Kotor is in Bosnia and Herzegovina, distinct from the coastal city in Montenegro.
