Višegrad Watchtower
Višegrad tourist organisation identifies the tower as a defensive lookout belonging to the old town known as Pavlovina. It stands on rock above the Drina at the southern approach to the town. The familiar name Prince Marko’s Tower comes from oral tradition and does not establish that Marko built or occupied it. The surviving rounded masonry shell is the focus of this model. Lost upper works, an asserted underground river passage and the wider town have not been reconstructed.
