Kozograd Castle
Kozograd lies high above Fojnica on a slope of Matorac. Municipal tourism planning places its medieval remains around 1,430 metres above sea level. Its remote mountain setting distinguishes it from the urban fortresses of the atlas. The surviving site is archaeological rather than an intact palace, and stories connecting it with the royal family should be assessed against documentary evidence before reconstructing specific rooms or events.

Architecture & evidence
Round western keep foundation
The museum describes the larger round keep as surviving principally in plan. This study therefore leaves it low and open, rather than rebuilding a tall royal tower.
Smaller square tower
A second, smaller square tower is distinguished from the round foundation. Its exact size and placement are estimated because this local map extract contains no castle outline.
Southern terrace
Local tradition calls the southern terrace Kraljičin grič. That name is presented as tradition, not evidence for a reconstructed royal palace.
